Haven't had a good chance to go long distances around my city and see how the bike paths are. For sure though, the path I took was pretty so-so. The neighboring town's roads are riddled with pot-holes and and don't leave any space for bikers. Definitely going to find better places the next time I ride.

I recognise that! That's strava!
Yes indeed. I had a roommate a few years back who was obsessed with cycling and made me download it for our rides. Haven't used it since then lol, but perfect for tracking progress for this event.

I use it for my runs/walks, initially got it because an event I signed up for went virtual and I needed something to record on...
Then just got into the habit of tracking all my runs on it xD

Rows were pretty tough today. I'm only used to going about 20 minutes, so the last 10 min seemed to drag on for an eternity lol. The sweat and breathing afterwards felt amazing though.

Sooooo much difference riding on a nice flat bike path. Felt like a dream compared to last time lol. Will definitely be searching out more paths in my area, but this one had some really cool looking swamps. @.@

I forgot to post yesterday's stuff. Oops.

Rows were a real struggle yesterday. Then I compared and realized I did a whole 1000m farther than the last time. Definitely will be my pacing myself better next go around, as I felt super burnt out.

NOTE: Time for the run was 9:42. Note sure what was up with the display.

Today was nothing short of frustrating. I couldn't do my usual bike ride due to the rain, so I opted to try doing a 3 mile run on the treadmill. A half mile in my left IT band was already giving me problems. I muscled my way to a mile, then hopped on the stationary bike and did the rest of my cardio there.

I think I'll incorporate some daily stretch routines for my problem area and see if I can improve it. I really hate having this handicap me, but I guess it comes with having a desk job.

Great day yesterday. The pace felt way better than last time. Was able to pump out the rest of my work out too.

For religious reasons, I consider Friday sunset to Saturday sunset days of rest. I decided to do the bare minimum reps necessary for my for the first part and take a more leisurely ride today and explore my city a bit more. Lots of interesting houses and apartment complexes I had no idea about.

The ride went way longer than I expected (or that I wanted). Went to the other side of my city though which was pretty cool.

I usually go to the gym Sunday's, but when I arrived I realized I left late and the gym was closing. Needless to say I was peeved, but was able to locate a nice bike path and take a ride near a very beautiful part of Massachusetts.

Had some major problems with my back this last week. A knot developed that severely limited my ability to do the rest of my workout. Friday night it got so bad that I started having back spasms and had pop some pain killers to quell it. Thankfully some ice and a couple sessions on the hydro massage machine have started take care of it, and I reckon I'll be back at full tilt by Tuesday.

Note: First picture is a repeat, since I forgot to take a photo that day. The stats were practically the same though so it really didn't matter.

To cap this off, yes I'm doing good now. At the time, I used my gyms hydro massage machine to work out some of the knots, and within 3 days I was mostly 100%. Definitely doing more back stretches to avoid having that happen again.

Though it is not posted, I completed my cardio and Push-ups/Sit-ups/Squats for the month of May, sticking to 100 of each for the remainder of the event.

This was a fun and challenging event that jumped started me back into fitness. I wouldn't mind doing this again come next May.
