First off, thank you all for your participation in our site's very first community sprite contest. Lots of great submissions were made, all of which blew my mind. Really fun to see the creative juices taking shape into some truly creative works.
We are now hot on the trail of our second community contest. As per tradition (two weeks in the making), our first winner Gardow has picked our next exciting topic.
Premise: Deep in the forests of an enchanted land, it is said that many beasts unknown to man roam the Earth, living their lives in the annals of myth and folklore. This week's OC is one such beast, that as of now, has yet to see a proper entrance into the Sonic fandom.
Of course, I'm talking about the mythical, mysterious, monstrosity that is the Jackalope.
For the uninitiated, here are a few sample images of what a Jackalope looks like. In more descriptive terms, it is a large hare endowed with deer antlers. Its majesty is unparalleled.
As like the previous contest, you are allowed to tackle this any way you like. Advance, Genesis, Modgen, or maybe your own custom style. You are allowed to use references and images to assist you, but you may not copy another sprite. Go crazy.
Where do we post it?: Your final submission will be posted in this thread, attached as an image.
Deadline: Your sprite must be submitted by Thursday, January 28th at midnight EST.
What happens next?: Once we reach the deadline, the thread will be locked, and the winner will be picked by voting on the winner. Voting will be located at the top of the page with a poll, with the names of each of the participants. If you posted a sprite, your name will be automatically added to the list. The voting deadline is midnight the next day, in our case, Friday, January 29th at midnight EST.
Whether you participated or not, you may vote for anyone you'd like. The criteria for the winner is entirely up to you.
In the event of a tie, a runoff between the tied individuals will take place until a majority vote has been reached.
Yay I won!!! Wait, what's the prize?: If you are voted the winner, congratulations! Your prize for this contest is to pick the theme for the next contest. It can be anything sprite related, within reason of course. Your deadline for picking the topic is Sunday, January 31st at midnight EST
